Overall – (3.5 / 5)
Bottle says – a mix of Carribean and Canadian Rum. I like me my home grown booze.
It get’s the amber colour from aging the rum in charred white oak barrels (according to the website).
I love Captain Morgan’s spiced rum in drinks, the spices just go well with so many things.
It’s also pretty awesome straight up, though the spices and heat can be a bit overpowering. Not something I would shoot, but for a sipping rum, not too bad. I’d love to be able to describe all the flavours and spices but my palette is not that good. Suffice to say it’s rich and full of flavour.
Definitely vanilla and toffee, something sweet and fruity like apricot.
