Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 4-6 cups water

Pour 3 cups of water and the sugar in to pitcher.  Add lemon juice.  Stir thoroughly.  Add more water to taste.  Add a few halves of lemon with the juice squeezed from them, fill with ice and enjoy.

Comments –

My recipe for lemonade is constantly changing, this is my current “best practice” for making it.  Most recipes I’ve found are either too watery, or too sugary, so after much experimentation this is what I’ve found.

Notes –

I normally substitute splenda for sugar, and it dissolves nicely even in cold water.  If you are using real sugar you’ll get great results by making a simple syrup first, then adding the lemon juice.
